Kevin

YouTube Guy

I help creators with the part of YouTube that happens after they hit record.Editing, strategy, titles, thumbnails, uploads, analytics. I run the whole thing so YouTube doesn’t turn into another job!

Results

I started working on YouTube when I was 16, initially editing videos and learning the platform by doing it rather than reading about it.By 17, I was helping Fortnite pros build YouTube channels that could stand on their own, bring in millions of views and become another part of their brand, at a time when competitive Fortnite was absolutely massive.(This was before everyone wanted to make GRWMs. Half the internet wanted to be a Fortnite pro.)From there, things got a lot bigger. I ended up working across different niches, bigger teams and multi-channel YouTube operations where we were publishing every single day.
That taught me a lot beyond just editing, how to work with people, keep things moving, manage a lot of content at once and actually understand how a YouTube operation fits together.

HOW I WORK

GETTING THE STYLE RIGHT

Before I touch an edit, thumbnail or title, we’d spend some time getting properly aligned on what you actually want the channel to feel like.Your humour, your editing style, what you like and hate, how you want videos packaged, how involved you want to be all of it. An example I always come back to is Emma Chamberlain. At her peak, you could watch about ten seconds of one of her vlogs and know exactly whose video it was. The pacing, humour, music, cuts, awkward pauses, every part had everyone in a chokehold! The goal is that pretty quickly I’m making decisions the way you would, without you having to explain everything every time. From there, you can be as involved as you want.

HOW I WORK

What I Need From You Once We Start

Simply send me the footage and I’ll take it from there. Or iIf you want to call before every video, throw ideas around and go through cuts together, I’m equally happy doing that. You’ll have my number too. If you’ve got an idea, find a random clip you like, or suddenly hate the thumbnail, just message me.

HOW I WORK

turnover

Speed matters as well. If you’re away, at an event or doing something people are already seeing all over TikTok and Instagram, I want the YouTube video out while people still care.(The amount of Bieberchella vlogs that arrived three weeks late was criminal.)And it’ll actually be me running it. No pitching you on the idea and then quietly handing your channel off to someone else. The aim is simple: make YouTube a bigger part of your brand without making it a bigger part of your workload.

WHy me?

I’ve been doing this for a while.
I’m 21, based in England and recently finished university, but I’ve been working on YouTube since I was 16. I’ve gone from editing for creators to working across teams, multiple niches and high-volume channels publishing every day.
I know the unsexy side of YouTube.
Not just editing a nice video. Sorting footage, getting uploads out, packaging, revisions, keeping multiple channels moving and all the little things nobody really thinks about until they become a headache. With me you no longer have to watch the same clip 50 times over, and then decide you don't want to include it anyways (like I tend to do with IG pictures).
But I also spend far too much time on the internet.
I’m the same age as a lot of the audiences and creators I’d be working with. I actually understand the references, humour, trends and why people care about certain creators in the first place. I want to grow your channel while keeping it authentic, because that's what makes it truly special.
That combination is pretty hard to find.
Someone with years of experience behind the scenes of YouTube, who can also sit down with a creator and genuinely understand what they’re trying to make.
That’s the bit I think I bring that’s different.
